Creativity on Festivak

On Tuesday during Festivak, twenty delegates from the Netherlands and Germany participated in a Master Class Creativity by creative consultant Jeroen Mourik.

This part of Festivak was presented by the International Festivals & Events Association, IFEA Europe and was aimed at event managers with a dominant left-brain-hemisphere.

Jeroen Mourik from creativefellowship.org says: “It is absolutely a misunderstanding to think that you need a dominant active right brain-hemisphere to be creative. In fact, you can only be effective in creating innovative ideas if you have a good balance between your two brain-hemispheres. I specifically named my new book “A Left-Brain Manual” because my methodology is logical and analytical.”

As event planner, Jeroen often participated at seminars where time after time he was told in unclear terms how to be creative. Although he never experienced any difficulty to come up with ideas, he realised that he was unable to explain his own methodology to others. By studying the subject creativity and focussing on enlightened geniuses as da Vinci and Einstein, his Creativefellowship.org came into being.

The feedback from participants at Festivak was very enthusiastic: “A very inspiring workshop that has given me a lot of food for thought about our own creative processes.”
