YOURNEYS OF EXPRESSION VII
by Dr. Philip Long

A Research Conference in continuance of the IFEA Annual Conference in Reykjavik: The Centre for Tourism and Cultural Change at Leeds Metropolitan University, UK (CTCC) is delighted to be working with IFEA, the Geography Department at the University of Iceland and Visit Reykjavk in the organisation of a research conference that overlaps with and complements the IFEA annual conference.

Our programme the seventh in our acclaimed Journeys of Expression series that examines aspects of tourism, festivals and cultural events is titled, Celebrating the Edges of the World: Tourism and Festivals of the Coast and Sea.

The conference will bring together researchers who share interests in festivals, cultural events and associated tourism in coastal settings. Our proceedings are also of interest to professional festival organisers. So far, we have attracted proposals from researchers in Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Croatia, India, Germany, Japan, Sweden, the UK and USA.
