Organisation and Governance

IFEA EUROPE is a network organisation for individuals working in the festivals and events sector. Members are invited to attend the Annual General Meeting which usually takes place during the annual conference. The AGM proposes board members to be appointed. The executive board leads the daily operations of IFEA EUROPE LTD, which is registered as an Irish not for profit organisation.

Members are invited to contribute to the growth and development of the organisation by sharing their knowledge as guest speakers at conferences, contributing to newsletters, providing research information relevant to their festival, region, or area of interest, and by representing the industry at large in national or European settings.

Members can join, or form working committees that reflect their professional interests. Committees are also set up on a project by project basis to support the board and develop services to the members.

The board appoints regional and national Network Managers as needed in furtherance of the strategies of the association. Please see "Network Managers" for a further description of this important role.
